Anonymous feedback explained

How anonymous feedback works in FeedbackMaster.

FeedbackMaster allows evaluators to give feedback anonymously when they prefer.

What is anonymous feedback?

When you submit feedback anonymously:

  • Your name isn’t shown to the speaker
  • The feedback appears as “Anonymous”
  • The content is otherwise identical

How to give anonymous feedback

When submitting feedback:

  1. Fill out your rating and comments
  2. Check the Submit anonymously box
  3. Submit your feedback

What the speaker sees

For anonymous feedback, the speaker sees:

  • The star rating
  • The written feedback
  • “Anonymous” instead of your name
  • The tone classification

What club leaders see

Club leaders (VPEs and Presidents):

  • Can see aggregate tone statistics
  • Cannot see who gave specific feedback
  • Cannot reveal anonymous feedback givers

When to use anonymous feedback

Consider anonymous feedback when:

  • You want to give honest criticism without awkwardness
  • You’re new and don’t want to be identified yet
  • The feedback is sensitive

When to avoid anonymous feedback

Consider including your name when:

  • You want to build a relationship with the speaker
  • You’re offering mentorship or guidance
  • Your expertise adds context to the feedback

Is anonymous truly anonymous?

Yes. FeedbackMaster doesn’t store the connection between anonymous feedback and the giver in a way that can be revealed later.

💡 Tip: Both anonymous and identified feedback are valuable. Choose what feels right for each situation.
