Payment failed — what to do

How to resolve failed payments and keep your subscription active.

If a payment fails, don’t worry — here’s how to resolve it quickly.

Why payments fail

Common reasons include:

  • Expired credit card
  • Insufficient funds
  • Card declined by bank
  • Outdated billing information
  • Bank fraud protection triggered

What happens when payment fails

  1. First attempt fails — We’ll notify you via email
  2. Retry period — We automatically retry the payment
  3. Grace period — Your subscription stays active temporarily
  4. Suspension — After multiple failures, features may be limited

How to fix a failed payment

Update your payment method:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Update Payment Method
  3. Enter new card details
  4. Save changes

The system will automatically retry the payment.

Retry manually:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Find the failed invoice
  3. Click Retry Payment

Checking payment status

In Settings → Billing, you’ll see:

  • Current subscription status
  • Any outstanding payments
  • Last successful payment date

Contact your bank

If payments keep failing:

  1. Check with your bank for blocks or restrictions
  2. Verify the billing address matches your card
  3. Try a different payment method

Preventing future failures

  • Keep card details updated before expiration
  • Ensure sufficient funds around billing dates
  • Add FeedbackMaster to your bank’s trusted merchants
